How and where have these cantilever brackets been used?
These brackets have been used successfully as supports for:
- Workbenches
- ADA Stations (wheelchairs)
- Office Work Stations
- Computer Stations
- Garage Storage
- Heavy Duty Shelving
- Fast Food Condiment Areas Etc.
- Floating Islands & Countertops
Use your imagination! Workstation Brackets are made of 1/8” steel and Concealed Brackets are made of ¼” steel. They are extremely strong. We guarantee that the Workstation Brackets easily handle 1,000 lbs., and the Concealed Brackets can handle up to 3,680lbs., depending on the length of the support arm. The cantilever design makes for easy under-counter cleanup: no legs to clean around. The concealed design, in addition to being less visible, provides additional strength when required.
-
Do you supply fasteners with these brackets?
We do provide fasteners with the Concealed and Extended Concealed Brackets, however we do not supply fasteners for Workstation Brackets. Because of their versatility, the Workstation Brackets have been used in many different applications. They have been mounted successfully on wood and steel studs as well as cinder block and concrete walls. Your wall studding will determine which fasteners to use.
It is important to use quality fasteners. A local contractor or the service center of your local hardware store will be able to recommend the proper fastener for the job. Fasteners ARE supplied for the Concealed Brackets, since the vertical arm is designed for mounting behind the drywall. When mounting to metal studding, it is recommended to reinforce the metal studding with wood.

What size bracket do you recommend for my job?
Again, because of their versatility, it is impossible for us to specify which brackets to use for any specific job. Basically, you are more limited by your fasteners and workbench surfaces than you are by the brackets. In other words, your fasteners and tops will most likely fail before the bracket.
-
What should my spacing be between brackets?
See the answer for the above question. Worry more about how much weight your fasteners and tops can support than the brackets.
-
Which side of the bracket is mounted to the wall and which side is mounted to the top?
All 12 sizes are reversible. Using an 18" x 24" bracket as an example, the 18” side as well as the 24" side can be mounted either on the wall, or as the support for the top. All 8 bracket sizes are reversible. Imagine the possibilities! Concealed Brackets, by design, must all be mounted with the vertical (concealed) arm to the studding behind the drywall.
